I cannot believe how bullshit this is. Five years for stabbing someone 30 times? BTW he'll be out in two.

1. That is ridiculous. So, the guy who decapitated the Greyhound bus
passenger is going to get, what? 30 days and probation?

And what is this "caused the stab wounds" nonsense? The guy STABBED the victim. He MURDERED him. Why can't journalists just say what happened?

2. In this case - lawyers
The guy got such a light sentence because he "Blacked out" so, if the story said "Stabbed him" then it would be implying the guy meant to kill him and wasn't in some zoned out universe. This is such a crock. You eaither plead "Guilty but not criminally responsible" or try to beat the second degree charge. But to plea to manslaughter? Manslaugher implies your negligence lead to someone's death by accident.... so I'd say that stabbing someone 30 times doesn't count as an accident.

3. "Oops, I slipped. Oops, I slipped again.
Oops, I slipped another 28 times.

While I was conveniently blacked out."

And somehow I don't buy the whole story that the victim brought the knife. This guy went there, armed, to "erase" a loan that he couldn't repay.

4. If I ever get a mortgage can I just stab the bank manager?
Then I'll have it all taken care of in five years!

6. Did you read the article?

If the facts as written in the article are true, then this man is guilty of manslaughter, not murder. One might even argue it was self defense.

7. Don't forget, Karla Homolka is a free woman
just because she pinned everything on Paul Bernardo. Talk about a miscarriage of justice. Sick, sick, sick.
