I have immense respect for Caroline Kennedy, but there are literally dozens of elected officials throughout New York who would be good Senators. As a Marylander, I have minimal interest, but Governor Paterson has lots of better choices.

She is a well-educated constitutional scholar and though never elected to some office she has tons of knowledge about governmental and world affairs -- obviously from a very early age.

And we need MORE WOMEN in all branches of government. With HRC leaving that seat it would be great to have it stay occupied by a powerful, intelligent woman.

If I lived in NY I would be incredibly proud to have her as my Senator.

Her accomplishments are more than enough to be considered.

She has the "big picture" as evidenced by her non-profit work and books.

She know the nitty gritty via the legacy and connections.

I think she would be smart and diligent and if I lived in New York, would be happy to see her in the slot, history and name as side bars.
