3. No, but his picks are pretty limited
if he wants people who are experienced with the wicked ways of Washington politics and who can get things done despite them.

The key will be his leadership. Right now, he's listening to all his great experts. I have faith that he's smart enough to realize after a few weeks that they're full of shit and that he'll have to set the agenda.

He's a smart man and I think he's smart enough to realize he'll have to shift to the left of the DLC if he wants to run this country after 40 years of conservative bungling.

4. Last week, I told them that the decision to give Joe Lieberman a pass...
...is why I'm withdrawing my financial support. Unfortunately, it won't hurt them a bit.

5. After years of telling them I support
Edited on Sun Dec-07-08 01:17 PM by xxqqqzme
Democratic candidates locally, they finally got the message. No longer call nor do I get fund raising mail. With the results of this general election. I am convinced it is the right thing to do.

8. I support local candidates with both $$$ and work, BUT I have recently decided that our state party
leadership is Obsolete. We had some very worthy and potentially successful new candidates that went down to defeat this last time, through no fault of their own. So, I have decided that my support for locals is going to be about "Work in exchange for Work". I'm tired of a party that takes money from those who cover their bets on both sides of the issues, then says little more than "get out there and knock on doors" to the candidates and DOES little or NOTHING else except put on various parties for all of the $$$$$$$$ to go hobnob around with other $$$$$$$$$ -

Few or NONE of whom doing any of the WORK that NEEDS to be done to get the GRASSROOTS' votes!

It's a big social club with political trappings, but no commitment to changing what they're doing in order to increase success. I'm tired of being the Help, especially when we don't win and I think not winning is sufficient reason to demand new state leadership. I want new leadership that understands the many NEW types of work that are possible for candidates/issues and who leads, up-front, foremost, first and ALWAYS with "Work for us/the party and we will Work for you/the party and if we don't, THROW US OUT."

6. I'll continue to support people like Obama versus people like Sarah Palin
John McCain and George Bush. I may not like everything some politicians do but after 8 years I am confident of the damage one man can do. There was a difference between Al Gore and George Bush.

7. Reid praises Ted Stevens!!!
Harry Reid led a senate session honoring convicted felon Ted Stevens!!! Reid himself said Stevens embodied service to his state!!
I will not give a dime to the democratic party until the leadership changes. Reid and Pelosi are part and parcel of our problem.

10. Get rid of
Reid and Pelosi. The Lieberman kiss up did it for me as far as donating any more money to the Democratic Party.
