Just saw this great new series on TNT called "Leverage" about this group of former criminals that take on large corporations to help the common people that they screw over, (kind of like a modern day Robin Hood). :toast:

have been waiting for it. It looked good from the ads and I liked the idea of it...Too bad we live in a time when so many of us out here will be able to identify with the shows premise...being screwed over by insurance companies, banks, credit corps, all retail and everything else that will make a buck...

3. Dudes, they are making $$$ off the recession they made. This if f***ked up!

I see ads on TV that use the recession to sell crap to people. "Buy this $10 towel and save hundreds on paper towels!". "This phone replacement is your bailout!" Everything is about financial panic and how this new item they are selling you will save you.

So, if TV is going to try to sell us entertainment about how they will save us---no thanks. I will be happy when the news stops reporting that autoworkers make $90/hour and that Black home buyers are responsible for the stock market crash.

for what it's worth, the first episode was commercial free. Also, as an artist myself, I love the ideea that something like this is geting out in the form of entertainment. That is one way to connect with large groups of people, and it is reflecting a change.
