Would affordable health care for all in the U.S. be like a huge Union?

I mean if we were all covered and didn't have to worry about pre-existing conditions.....If our care would be affordable and guaranteed no matter where we worked (or if we didn't)....what would be the result? I think our economy would boom in a way never seen before. I also think that employers couldn't hold people in jobs who might have lost health care in the past. Many could do things not possible before. Employers would have to, possible, offer higher salaries and more benefits to get people to work for them. Could it be? I think it could.
