"Blast their hopes, blight their lives, protract their bitter pilgrimage...
...make heavy their steps, water their way with their tears, stain the white snow with the blood of their wounded feet!"

The way that Mark Twain described the effects of war in his masterpiece short story The War Prayer.

The way that I'm feeling about the Republican Senators--DeMint, Corker, McConnell, et al--who are proving that union-busting and kissing up to their campaign contributors are more important to them than saving the economy, and whether or not four million families have food and heat.

That's what this is really about. Love the Big Three or hate them, if they go under so do millions of workers, and millions more who support and depend on those workers. In the face of that, nothing else matters.

Were I in charge, I would give the Toyota Trio a simple ultimatum. If you attempt to impede the fixing of the domestic auto industry, you will be marked men. No bill which you sponsor will be even allowed onto the floor for a vote, for so long as our party controls the wheels of the Senate. No requests will be honored, no earmarks allowed, no projects funded. We will strip your states of federal pork, of grants, of everything not essential to human life. We will exact vengence so terrible it will spoken of for decades to come. We will enshrine you in American political history as a warning to the next ten generations about the consequences of putting political posturing above basic human need.

"Every normal man must be tempted at times to spit on his hands, raise the black flag, and begin cutting throats."

2. You sound just like LBJ.
There was a guy that knew how to treat a piss ant senator. Bleach the red stain of republicanism from the face of the earth.
