History is bound to repeat itself. But, how?
I hesitate to bring this up because any thread posted having to do with this subject becomes a flame war and gets locked.

So, if you want to push your own narrow agenda, please go elsewhere.

Thank you.

Six years ago tomorrow (December 12, 2008) it was discovered who sneaked a provision into the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homeland_Security_Bill">Homeland Security Bill to protect pharmaceutical giant and GOP donor, Eli Lilly.

Dick Army admitted to being the one who added the provision into the huge bill in the middle of the night.

My question is: we know the GOP will pull this crap again with the Bridge Loan for Detroit, but how do you think they'll do it? And to benefit which corporation/GOP donor?

1. It looks like they rather screw the working class over
instead of lining their pockets with direct money

3. True, because screwing the worker puts money in their pockets ...
... just not right away.

2. History repeats itself.
First as tragedy.

the second time as farce.

5. True.
The first time the Bush family was in power, it was as a Nazi-supporter.

The next time was as HW and W.

9. I am reporting testimony on the Senate Floor
McCaskil said she could not vote for the bailout bill with the pay raise position in it. The other was both a Dem & Repub who had eliminated the tax break in 2004. I don't recall the names.

7. The people are awake
IMO the crazies of the Republican Party are well on their way to completely destroying the brand. I say " let them have at it." There may be some short term pain, but, in the end, these people will marginalize themselves.

Just my .02
