Michigan will go down the toilet sucking the rest of the country with it unless Chimpco gets a clue.

3. Well, as much as I think the rank and file stupid repuke
Senator wants to actually bankrupt the country and force us into a Depression... Paulson and Bernake (who studied the previous Great Depression) might actually care about this.

If that's the case, we might actually be pleasantly surprised that there weren't real restrictions placed on TARP.

I have a feeling that Paulson might just shove $14 B into the pockets of GM and Chrysler in the next day or so.

And congress (by which I mean the idiot repuke Senators from the Confederate States) won't be able to do a damn thing about it.

At least I hope this all true.

Failing that, I hope the big 2of3 can hold on for 26 days. That's when we can vote on this again... only with a minimum of 57 Democrats (including LIEberman and my favorite, Bernie Sanders). That should be enough with some of the rust belt repukes to force this through.

4. Odds are - there will be a "white knight" somewhere in this.
If Michigan goes, our economy goes. If we go, the world goes. Somebody with deep pockets, whether Paulson or someone else, might see it in their interest to bridge this for a month. I'm not saying that makes the danger or worry any less, but it's possible if all else fails.

5. "If Michigan goes, our economy goes."
If Michigan hadn't brought the Rich Rod curse upon itself, at least football would probably be better there.(somebody needed to say that!)

It's hard for me to feel sorry for Michigan, but I do and I feel sorry for the people all over this country that the GOP has ruined.
