1. We played the same role in "The Caine Mutiny": Lieutenant Maryk.
I think he did a better job than I did.

R.I.P., Van...

4. He was the man that tried to stand up to the studios and they destroyed his career.
He was a big star that forgot who really runs Hollywood and paid a heavy price for it.

10. Unfortunately my Mom was the one with the inside scoop, I don't know the details but,
if you look at http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0004496/">his IMBD file you'll see that in 1960 he went from leads in major films to TV overnight and it took a long time to somewhat come back.

You have to remember that in those days TV was the "red-headed step child" where "they" worked.

7. Great lines from 30 Seconds Over Tokyo:
Lt. Ted Lawson: Tell me, Honey, how come you're so cute?
Ellen Lawson: I had to be if I was going to get such a good-looking fella.

16. A major member of the Red Headed League. That's why Tracy went to bat for him
when he was hurt in a motorcycle accident during the filming of a movie. Tracy insisted they shoot around him while he recovered. Saved his career.
