Honda cutting production again
http://atlanta.bizjournals.com/atlanta/stories/2008/12/08/daily89.html?ana=e_du_pap

Honda Motor Co. Ltd. is reducing production again in response to dwindling sales.

The automaker will cut another 119,000 units from its plan across all North American facilities in the remaining months of its fiscal year, ending March 31, including a 58,000-vehicle cut at its Marysville and East Liberty, Ohio, auto assembly plants. Honda will also make cuts at its newly opened Civic plant in Greensburg, Ind.

The company previously announced a 38,000-unit cut in October and an 18,000-unit reduction in November.

Honda’s sales for the first 11 months of the calendar year were down 6 percent to 1.34 million vehicles, from 1.42 million through the same period of 2007, including monthly declines of 24 percent in September, 25 percent in October and 32 percent in November.

Hmmm...it's the WHOLE ECONOMY and NOT the Unions!!!!

1. Wrong. Honda's not making cars that Americans are willing to buy at this time.
Perhaps they're overpriced. Maybe the workers need a paycut.

Obviously, their business model no longer works.

They might want to think about cutting employee healthcare in their new business model.

4. That can't be...
Listening to all the tv talking boobs, and r's non-stop lying, you would think the foreigners are burning up the sales records.

What a worthless media we have. Let's here how much corkscrew and crooked mouth shelby have benefited from the implants "ah hm) contree-buutions. Or how much tax breaks, free land and promises of non union they gave out. So if a state gives it's tax revenue generator by, where do the get the money to operate the state, Michigan maybe???

3. That's a point I have been trying to point out
for days all car sales are down. The GM plant in Lordstown Ohio took the third shift off, that's where they make the Cobalt one of their most fuel efficient vehicles. It's not just SUVs.
