I thought some of our members might like to thank Mr Koester, going their today to thank him personally.

Taylor, MI - December 12th, 2008



Gibraltar Trade Center in Taylor cancels Jim Bunning Appearance



Immediately upon notification of Senator Jim Bunning’s vote regarding his stance on the automotive industry, Jim Koester, President and Founder of Gibraltar Trade Center canceled the contract between Mr. Bunning and Gibraltar Trade Center for an autograph appearance that was scheduled Sunday, December 14th, 2008.



Mr. Koester said, “Being a business owner in Michigan for over 30 years, I simply cannot support anyone who, in my opinion, votes against the economic well being of our great state.” Mr. Koester went on to say, “The contract between us and Mr. Bunning was signed well in advance of the auto vote.”



Gibraltar Trade Center has supported local vendors and entrepreneurs who want to start or expand their business in Michigan for over 30 years.

2. I called and thanked him and we are heading their at noon to walk around they have a craft show this
weekend the wife wants to check out and I will try and talk to him at the office as well.

3. I would have loved him to come here and be ignored.
There should be a law against a sitting Senator collecting money for signing autographs. He'll have plenty of time to do that after his term. Koester is putting his butt on the line. I would imagine if Bunning decided to pursue it, he'd have a good civil case for breach of contract.
