2. I don't know......Condi's got plenty of shoes to fire back with.
The shoe-hurler would have had a stiletto in the side of his head before he could yell "Salvatore Ferragamo!"

3. Perle already had shoes thrown at him, in Portland
I was there. It was several years ago. A man ran down to the stage and threw his shoes at Richard Perle, hollering.

6. Will this get picked up in the States?
Do you think we here in the US will now start throwing shoes as a means of protest? I think it would be a wonderful way of showing solidarity with our Middle Eastern brethren, and, yes, I'm serious.

Let he who is without (insert your meaningful concept here) cast the first shoe........................

8. Maybe I shouldn't feel this way but
I think it's funny that Dana Perino got a black eye in the incident.

My first thought was that there just HAS GOT TO BE a Cheney "duck" hunting joke in there somewhere.

10. I say Pearle, Ledeen, Wolfowitz, Franklin, Rumsfeld, Cheney, Addington, Libby, Rove, Kristol
and many more that they would have had a pair each thrown their way.
