Did Bush Intentionally want to trash the planet?
I don't see how he could have done all the harm he has done without some intent. But, if you believe his administration planned it all, then what could have been their reason? The huge budget deficits were growing in his 1st term. The war costs were steadily rising to billions per month and his tax cuts were widening the deficit year by year. It just seems like their intent was to destroy the fiscal solvency of the US Government and bankrupt us. You would have to hate the population of your country. You would have to hate the country itself to intentionally do this.

2. So you're sure there's intent, but you don't know the reason.
You're not sure there's intent.

6. Don't laugh!
One of my neighbors, she's very devout, and a tad kooky. She SWEARS Dumbyass IS the antichrist!

And when she makes sense, I tend to shiver a lot!

5. well, let us consider some things
If you look back to the history of the "elites" (as exemplified by the Skull & Bones legacies at Yale) you will find that they believe in some principles the rest of us would find chilling.

S&B members are actually taught that in chaos there is opportunity for power and profit, and so they are likely to seek to manufacture chaos from which to gain.

Additionally, the Bush family has long had a relationship with eugenics, and is said to support the depopulation of certain groups of people.

Additionally, this group espouses the principles of Malthus, that there are finite resources for human survival on the earth, with all that entails.

Additionally, this group espouses the principle of Hegel:

Hegel points out that all personal relations can thus be reduced to the fundamental relation of master and slave, of domination and submission. Each must strive to assert and prove himself, and he who has not the nature, the courage, and the general capacity for preserving his independence, must be reduced to servitude. This charming theory of personal relations has, of course, its counterpart in Hegel's theory of international relations. Nations must assert themselves on the Stage of History; it is their duty to attempt the domination of the World.

– Karl Popper, The Open Society and Its Enemies

And then there is the New Great Game:

The New Great Game is a term used to describe the conceptualization of modern geopolitics in Central Eurasia as a competition between regional and great powers for "influence, power, hegemony and profits in Central Asia and the Transcaucasus".<1> It is a reference to the Great Game, the political rivalry between the British and Russian Empires in Central Asia during the 19th century. Many authors and analysts view this new "game" as centering around regional petroleum politics. Now, instead of competing for actual control over a geographic area, "pipelines, tanker routes, petroleum consortiums, and contracts are the prizes of the new Great Game".<2>

7. Chilling for sure.
Especially in the nuclear age concerning "The Great New Game". I think the world is very unfortunate to have such a family rise to the heights of power it has. There is yet another one to come. I feel certain that Jeb is planning to execute another phase of Bush doctrine if he has the opportunity.

11. Bush is not trashing the planet.
To Bush, the planet is just another resource to exploit in his quest to enrich his buddies in Big Oil and the Defense industries.

12. Welcome Jack...and that is a good question.
But you have to understand that this is a global economy and the elite really don't need the US anymore...they have bought the whole world.
If things get bad here they can just jet off to Dubai and enjoy the benefits of there wealth and power while we descend into caos...and then they can buy up all the real assets of this country at bargain prices.
There is a great advantage to having the US as a poor nation...lots of servants willing to grovel at their feet just to feed themselves.

13. Beyond a doubt!
Nothing happens by accident.

Everything this administration has done has been entirely deliberate.

There should be accountability!
