Just saw a pic of the pup and it's great! They are super dogs as I had one as a kid and it was a wonderfully kind and loyal animal. I'm sure they will all get along famously and it will be nice to see the pup grow for the next eight years.

5. Our Shepard weighed 109 lbs. the last time she was at the vet

We've had her for 5 years. What's especially interesting about her is her wolf-like mannerisms. She definitely has some wolf in her from not too far back, maybe no more than 4 or 5 generations back.

She's a fantastic dog. She is wonderful with kids and very protective. She's OK with men strangers if we're OK. If she senses we're not OK with someone she gets very protective.

The Bidens made a great choice.

I certainly hope he purchased the dog from a reputable breeder. MSNBC has only said it was bought at a kennel? Does anyone have further info on that?

I didn't know Biden was looking for a dog. Cool that he got a GSD!

We adopted our Noelle from the Delaware Humane Society (no idea why someone wouldn't have wanted her and her brother - they were only 3 mo old). She just celebrated her 1 year anniversary with us on Dec 11th. She's an only dog, so she goes to doggie daycare on Friday's to get some chance to play and run all day with a bunch of like-sized dogs. During the week her exercise is playing ball w/ the kids, long walks with Mom and Dad, and chasing her brother Max - who is a cat ;)
