The economic crunch hits the Queen of England - SHE WILL WEAR PREVIOUSLY WORN OUTFITS

You heard that right. The Queen is showing her solidarity with those who are suffering under the weight of the crisis. Breaking from tradition, she will wear clothes that have already been worn once.

Things are tough all over.

2. This is kind of surprising. I had always thought that the Old Gal was pretty tight with a buck.
Or pound, as it were. I would have thought she already recycled her wardrobe.

4. Why is this news and where did you get it?

I've remembered reading that the old gal gets her outfits remodeled and updated all the time instead of buying new clothes. She's always been frugal.

absorbed into Royal Bank of Scotland ....which has lost 400 million pounds to the Madoff ponzi scheme!

16. Banks hit worldwide by US fraud
Some of the world's biggest banks have revealed that they are victims of a fraud which has lost $50bn (£33bn).

Bernard Madoff has been charged with fraud in what is being described as one of the biggest-ever such cases.

Among the banks which have been hit are Britain's HSBC and RBS, Spain's Santander and France's BNP Paribas.

One of the City's best-known fund managers has criticised US financial regulators for failing to detect the alleged fraud. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/7783236.stm

14. Good Lord... who would know the difference...?
It's not like her handbags, chapeaus and matching house dresses ever really change.... She could certainly just dye them from time to time.

Ah, but Queenie, do as you will.
