Poll question: Which unelected group has too much power in our government?
Edited on Fri Dec-26-08 03:07 AM by ColbertWatcher
I read a few threads that discuss the burrowing (Daily Kos) that the GOP has been doing in Dumbya's final days and it got me wondering ... Which unelected group has too much power in our government?

2. Nice quote and good choice.
I was going to add the Illuminati and Bilderbergers in there, but I didn't want the thread to become a flamefest then get locked!

Here is some more food for thought.....

"Banking establishments are more dangerous than standing armies." --Thomas Jefferson

"The refusal of King George III to allow the Colonies to operate an honest money system, which freed the ordinary man from the clutches of the money manipulators, was probably the prime cause of the Revolution." --Benjamin Franklin

"Permit me to issue and control the money of a nation and I care not who makes its laws" --Mayer Anselm Rothschild

"I am a most unhappy man. I have unwittingly ruined my country. A great industrial nation is controlled by its system of credit. Our system of credit is concentrated. The growth of the nation, therefore, and all our activities are in the hands of a few men. We have come to be one of the worst ruled, one of the most completely controlled and dominated Governments in the civilized world no longer a Government by free opinion, no longer a Government by conviction and the vote of the majority, but a Government by the opinion and duress of a small group of dominant men." -Woodrow Wilson, after signing the Federal Reserve into existence

If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks...will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.... The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs. --Thomas Jefferson

History records that the money changers have used every form of abuse, intrigue, deceit, and violent means possible to maintain their control over governments by controlling money and its issuance. -James Madison

The real truth of the matter is,as you and I know, that a financial
element in the large centers has owned the government ever since
the days of Andrew Jackson... -Franklin D. Roosevelt

EDIT: had to add a few more ;)

11. Other
The same bunch of crooks, and overlords who have been running, and/or trying to run, this country from the beginning. The big banks, the central bank (the Federal Reserve since 1913), pig corporations, big agra business, big pharma (modern era). The mainstream media, and religions have been tools to manage the propaganda.

Are you aware of the fact that nearly 50% of commissioned officers come from nine Southern states? Check out the demographics.

All I'm saying is that our military is dominated by a region who's thinking may not be representative of the people as a whole and they are an increasingly powerful, radical group.

16. The answer is obvious..
Teh gay, the Dirty Fucking Hippies and the far left.

All of the major screwups of the last thirty years belong to this group, they have never been right about anything and catastrophically wrong about everything.

And all the Serious people in Washington hate them with the white hot fury of Bessemer converter.
