1. not hardly
Have you heard about that constitution thingie?

What about our system of justice - you know, innocent until proven guilty?

Remember Stevens and Jefferson, they held their offices until the lost them in the elections, not because of the charges they faced and/or were found guilty of.

2. Nope. Blago is holding out for the best deal possible
Edited on Sat Dec-27-08 12:46 PM by Robbien
If he gives up his seat without making a deal for a lessor sentence then he gives up all his leverage.

3. Say what you will about Blago
right or wrong, it's refreshing to see a Dem with a little fight in 'em.

5. Unfortunately, I think it is a mental disorder driving the "fight"

6. I agree it is a mental disorder..but he keeps going because someone..
has shown him that he can keep going,no matter what the lies are. And that person is George Bush. Just keep going.
..Of course he is innocent till proven guilty. But given the circumstances, he has lost the capacity to govern.

But he will never give up the lies, just like Bush will never give them up either. That is what I believe.

7. I think he's got a few aces up his sleeve
If his back was up against the wall with nothing left to play he would end this now. I think he has info on other politicians and/or highly connected people and he's keeping them afraid that he might turn on them unless they show him some support.

8. innocent
"Innocent until proved guilty."

Who wouldn't fight? How does fighting for himself make him mentally ill or whatever?

The case against him and the behavior by the feds are highly questionable.

Nice to see a Dem with some fight in them for a change.

9. Two other words. Made Man.
He probably has organized crime connections. A lot of people claim that Al Capone is just a colorful part of Chicago history, but people who live there tell me different. It's a little more ethnically varied, with Russian mobs, the Triads and other folk, but it's still the same old game.

10. Having a spine, maybe? I know there are many on this board who can not stand to see
a Democrat stand up for him or herself, but some people do fight back.
