Why did bush slip that change into the patriot act to fire u s attorneys?
it strikes me that it was taken out recently by a 96 to 2 vote. the real question in this to me is who inserted this and why? did they think when they used it no one would notice? why did bush want to break the law and ignore the will of congress? who do they think they are?

impeach all of these criminals now. they do not represent the American people.

1. As for why, the answer is self evident
When the shit hits the fan (and the poo has already been flung), it will be the federal prosecutors who prosecute the Junta. To mitigate, perhaps even avoid, serious investigation and indictment on malfeasance and treason, they wanted to replace prosecutors who were actually doing their jobs with party hacks who would be loyal to the Junta no matter what charges were levelled or evidence presented.

Next question?

4. Combine that bit with NSA wire taps and you get power through intimidation
You blackmail those you want to control and prosecute those who won't take your orders.

Criminals in control of Criminal Justice. Big kids in a big candy store.

All about keeping power. There are a couple resources the junta & their masters haven't made off with just yet. It's their greed that will bring them down.

6. To avoid the "advice and consent" of Congress per Art. II and
appoint permanent USAGs committed to the rule of man rather than the rule of law.

8. You Are Absolutely Right - Who Inserted This In The Act The Last.....
minute? Subpoena him/her. And why was this inserted into the act? Motive? Ask them at the hearing. Who told them to insert? Will it lead back to the WH or the DOJ?

I hope when the hearings start that the Dems get to the bottom of that one. Interesting, though, why didn't someone catch it before it was voted on?

I remember from F911 that - I believe it was Conyers re: passage of the first Patriot Act - he said there is no way that they can read everything.

If that be the case then - they need to hire someone that could and will read everything - so that nothing is slipped by them - like this was.
