I have a question-
Have you actively sought participation from the physicians in your area? When I talk to my docs, they have no idea this is transpiring...

1. A doctor is heading our local team
But I am not on it. I was asked to send out an invite to all the volunteers from my campaign team to the local forum on health care held last week.

2. I am glad you are inviting lots of opinions
I have seen a couple of threads on how to exclude interested parties.

That will never work.

The reason we have a nursing shortage is that nobody ever listens to nurses when they tell us how to end the shortage. We could do the same with doctors and create another shortage.

3. We are having our meeting Tuesday night.
I invited a nurse who works for one of the local physicians.

I'm a Pharmacy Technician and will be giving information from that point of view.

4. I know a doctor who might be interested if she's not too busy
She'd be perfect as she already heads up a federally qualified health clinic and deals with the break down in the health care system on a daily basis.

Here is what I wrote to Obama/Biden on health care:

I have read where only those earning less than $20k a year will be offered assistance to pay for mandated health insurance. I make a little more than $20k but would be unable to afford $4k in annual premiums, should I lose my employer sponsored health plan. Also, auto insurance is mandated and there are still people who drive around without auto insurance, it's because they cannot afford it. If the government is going to mandate health insurance, as is done in Massachusetts, then they ought to provide a bare bones plan and help people pay for it. There is no incentive for the for extreme profit insurance companies to keep prices affordable.
About pre-existing conditions: Some insurance companies already say they will accept people with pre-existing conditions. What they do is jack up the premium to the individual. What incentive is there for the companies to keep the premiums low and affordable for someone in their 40s or 50s with a pre-existing condition?
For the insurance companies it is ALL ABOUT PROFIT. They truly do not care about the health of the American people, especially when it affects the bottom line and the bonuses of the executive staff.
We need health insurance reform in the US that does not include for profit insurance companies.
