2. I love both the sea and the ocean
We're actually invading the shark's space.

7. Exactly. I have over 100 open ocean scuba dives ... the majority with sharks.
Without exception, I've found greater sanity, balance, and PEACE in diving, even surrounded by 35-50 shark of various kinds, than I have in the bowels of the corporations in which I've worked throughout my career.

Unless they are hungry they leave you alone. Not so in corporate America.

3. Millions of years ago, our ancestors left the oceans. The oceans still haven't forgiven the slight.
Something about the damage we've done to them not being covered by the original deposit.

6. Circling and mouthing of boats can just be curiosity or confusion.
It only seems malevolent because humans are generally afraid of sharks.

8. I bet I could walk to land on top of the water!
I know I can fly! I was living in VA and one night I was lying on my couch, reading, and minding my own business. I looked down at my feet and saw this:

Next thing I knew, I was on top of a kitchen counter and I don't remember touching ground. I don't mind insects, but when a mutha like that sneaks up on you.................

11. Truthfully if I was in that kayak
and that shark showed up, I'd have been dead of a heart attack before he reached the kayak and I am no coward.
We have swan with nurse sharks - one even bounced into me and I didn't even change my stride - because we know they're harmless. A great white would scare me shiteless.

It just looked hungry to me.
It's probably hungry. Somebody from a boat has probably fed it. Otherwise, it wouldn't come up to the boat like that and stay around. That shark wasn't menacing. Trust me. If it wanted to take them out of this world, it would have. People freak out too easy when it comes to animals.
