Peace is pointless - I mean - how fun is a good peace movie?

You want war, death blood guts and screaming

So we should have more killing!

More deaths!

More orphaned children! Nothing says America like starving orphans!

We need more parents with dead kids! That will show them for being in the wrong place at the wrong time!

We need more Muslims to hate us and Israel!

We need more people to burn our flag!

In short, why don't we just have a party, launch all the missiles straight up in the air, and let the chips fall where they may...

Let's go out Slim Pickens style!

Oh and in case you haven't guessed... :sarcasm:

2. Most of us want peace on earth - the question is how do we get there and what has to be sacrificed?
If someone is beating me up and you wish me peace without preventing the violence or perceived disagreement is serves little purpose.

12. What are we sacrificing now for war?
Yeah, it requires a lot of work to get to peace, particularly in a society like ours that is so drenched in the teachings of the Cult of Redemptive Violence. Peace means working ahead of schedule so that people who have much don't have too much, and those who have little don't have too little. A tricky balancing act, to be sure. The Cult is very happy with reactive thinking, and discourages prospective action. The Cult also likes it when people perceive that the system is unfair, and really encourages them to believe that fairness is only achieved at point of a gun or at the end of a fist or some other means of violence. Might makes right.

The sacrifices we make to ensure that violence is the preferred method of resolving disputes are largely ignored or shrugged off as necessary: “That’s just the way things are.” And these sacrifices, rather than defuse violence, bring us more violence, and hare-brained ideas like the Bush Doctrine, which states that if a nation can make a colorable case for feeling threatened, it can “pre-emptively” invade another country. Writ small, the Bush Doctrine comes out looking like the Florida law that grants immunity from criminal prosecution to people who feel scared to shoot first and ask questions later. Compared to the sacrifices we make on behalf of the Cult of Redemptive Violence, I’m not sure what sacrifices to work toward a more just society wouldn’t outweigh the cost of people’s lives that we’re currently incurring.

7. You sound like an American
Everyone should have guns, and more guns because they don't ever kill anything. They are so soothing for all, and make one think of flowers and love..
