Sick of people kicking the bag out of the UAW and Labor in general
If the auto companies want the bailout money I think the executives should be required to receive no more than 10 times more than the highest union employee makes in any given year. They should be required to do this for a minimum of ten years to help return the companies to profitability.

1. Ben and Jerry's did that for a while
They had it where the highest paid employee could not make more than seven times the lowest paid employee did.

2. The CEO and founder of CostCo makes about 400K a year
He says he lives quite well on that money.

I guess he bypasses the ivory-covered back scratchers and condor eggs for breakfast

4. As far as I know...(from the interview I saw)
He already has stock -- which I would expect since he is the founder of CostCo.

At this point, I think he only gets salary.

I'm pretty sure every CostCo employee has medical benefits and according to the WSJ the average salary of a CostCo employee makes more than double what a walmart employee makes.
And turn over at CostCo has been historically very low.

Here in Korea the starting salary for a CostCo employee is above 5.25 an hour -- Minimum wage here is about 2.75.
Everyone in Korea has to get National Health Care.
I go to CostCo (been in Korea 10 years) and I do recognize a lot of the people who work there. Most have been there at least 5 years.
