RODENT POISON A CULPRIT; MANUFACTURING CONTINUES AT CONTAMINATED PLANTS
http://abcnews.go.com/US/story?id=2975912&page=2

Earlier today, New York State veterinary health investigators announced that the pet food responsible for pet deaths around the country was contaminated with the rodent poison aminopterin.

*snip*

While Henderson described himself as “angry” over the massive recall and the impact it has had on hundreds of pets, he also said the company has not stopped manufacturing at the two plants believed to have produced the contaminated pet food.

ABC News has learned that Menu Foods bought wheat gluten, the only ingredient changed in its plants, from China.

*snip*

Aminopterin is not registered for use as a pesticide in the United States, and it has been known as a potential source of birth defects in humans.

1. Good luck on getting anyone to buy what the plants are manufacturing.

5. The problem is-there are so many products, people will not know
what not to buy. I am astonished that this one company was making all those different brands of food.

2. Pets are like children. The companies involved are OUT OF BUSINESS
unless they do something quickly to address this issue. I will NEVER buy anything from those companies unless they deal with this quickly.

My pets are my kids, and they are part of my family. I would never do anything that would endanger their health. To still be producing food in these plants is criminal. They should shut down immediately, destroy all inventory, scrub down and sterilize everything, and implement an immediate test program on all ingredients to make sure they are fit for consumption. Anything less is absolutely unacceptable.
