Mythology, the Number Three, and Two More Kicks in the Teeth...
Edited on Wed Jan-28-09 11:00 PM by catnhatnh
...That's what we're seeing tonight. In this morality tale of trying to be "bipartisan" while a minority agrees to drive the country into ruin because seeing it fixed would undercut their worth, you have to realize the neccesity of President Obama to take two more smashing attacks.

All current fiction, be it books or movies or TV require the protagonist to try three times....in a happy story on the third try he succeeds and in an unhappy story he turns against the abuser after the third attempt fails and then emerges victorious. Current mythology requires this to occur to show his cause is pure and noble...

In this the Republicans have so far remained clueless/complicit. What happened today when they voted enbloc against the stimulus package will not go unnoticed.

I pray for two more quick blocking actions by the Republicans...because after just two more votes like today a supermajority of Americans will be done with their horseshit. And Obama can actually write them off and do anything neccesary while being applauded by most.

3. He makes good on working with both sides of the isle,
they look like yesterday's onion....

The idea that they would brag about voting against the bill BEFORE they met with him says it all.

They are Old White Men who value banks above the working class.

I get the feeling that this is going to get really good.......
