just 45 years into my lifetime, and 21 years into my daughter's. If I have a grand daughter, she will be born into a world where men and women get equal pay for equal work. I remember when this was shot down on the 1970's. Glorious day!

6. I have one question, though

Does the law that bears her name help Ms. Ledbetter at all?

7. I doubt that she's after anything personal now. I think the cause probably became larger than

her own concerns some time ago, imnsho. (Probably about the time the US Supreme Court said "Screw you.")

I was paid $4 an hour (a little above minimum at the time) for a very physically demanding job usually held by men, and found out years later that the guy who had that job after me AND the guy who had that job BEFORE me were both paid $5 an hour.

So today's signing made me very happy for the daughters and grand-daughters of women like me who were paid 80% (or less) of what we deserved to be paid.

I am tickled to pieces Lilly stuck with it, and I hope she has a tremendous sense of accomplishment crowning all her efforts, and she certainly has great gratitude from me!
