Whatever the problem the GOoPer remedy is cut taxes
Economy too hot? cut taxes!
Economy too cool? cut taxes!
Middle East about to erupt? cut taxes!
Health care system in the shitter? cut taxes!
Education in the dumper? cut taxes!
Racial strife? cut taxes!
infra-structure busted? cut taxes!
Medicare going broke? cut taxes!
Elderly eating the really crappy cat food? cut taxes!
illegal aliens sneaking in from Canada? cut taxes!
workers going broke? bust the unions and cut taxes!
Terrorism? cut taxes!

Who says the right never has any new ideas? But don't cut just any taxes but only the rich's taxes. That is how jobs are created.
And when the government finally goes completely broke? blame the Dems for poor fiscal management!

1. Yep. GOP econopolitics is a one-trick pony
They figured out a long time ago that rich, poor or in the middle many people resent the taxes they pay in good times and in bad times.

2. Yes, look at the tailors' jobs maintained by sewing those $43,000 suits the rich guys are ordering.
And some guy somewhere got PAID for making that $1200 parchment wastebasket for CEO Thain, don't forget.

So Tax Cuts Do Create Jobs!!! But the question does niggle -- How many more bank personnel do the Cayman Islands really need?

3. Voters start to understand that the Republicans aren't working for them? Cut taxes!
Maybe the next logical step for the Repukes is to start handing out "free" cash to tax payers. Oh, wait they already tried that twice.

5. When Democrats were trying hold the line on military spending (Iraq)
they were unpatriotic...and the media echoed their talking points....It was the Democrats that would allow our men and women to go without ammunition,food,clothing.etc...so the Repukes ran up a trillion dollar deficit and now blame the Democrats for that...And you are correct...now they want those taxes cut for the rich because they still believe in that trickle down economy..This bail out is the biggest scam by the rich in history and now this Democratic administration has to bail us out and Republicans are still waiting for that Reaganomics trickle down economy to save us...and yes the MSM is again echoing the Republicans ..I just wonder how many Republicans out there that were a part of stealing the elections of 2000 and 2004 are regretting it now...and what really puzzles me about this economy is ..for every loser there is a winner..The money that was invested...real dollars just didn't dissipate..Some rich bitch's ended up with very healthy bank accounts whether its in foreign banks or stashed in their mattress there were those that gained from this economic crisis..
An example ..my annunity lost 18% last year..Now it was not just paper..It was real dollars that was paid into that plan..so where is that 18%..thats why I say for every dollar lost someone or some group gained from my loss...

6. Cut Taxes...Cut Taxes...Cut Taxes!!!
The GOP held Congress for 12 of the past 14 years, and the Executive Office for 20 of the past 28, and look where the US is now.

For the first time since JFK's assassination in 1963, there is a President elected who previously served in politics representing or governing a northern state.

80's Trikkle Down/Supply-Side ekonomiks.

90's Kontrakt With Amerika.

00's Projekt For A New Amerikan Century.

Plan??

LOL!!

There ain't no PLAN!!

8. LOL! so when there are no more taxes
how are we going to pay for roads and bridges and schools and police and 911 operators and people to make sure they all run? And a military... we NEED a strong military, and agencies that collect intelligence to keep us safe. But jeepers, that sounds expensive, how WILL we pay for all those great services that make us the greatest nation on this earth??

Hmmm... maybe each employed citizen should chip in according to their ability to pay.

Hmmm... maybe, just to make sure everyone pays, we should have it automatically taken out of everyone's check - because you know some people will try to get away with not paying.

Gee... what should we call each person's 'share'??

11. "Retail Politics"...
For many years, the GOOP was highly successful in "simplifying" politics...putting it into sound bites. All answers were tied to too much government and high taxes. It appealed to the selfish...gave the impression that all taxes were "hard earned" money that was sure to go to some nefarious purpose. The double bonus of promoting tax cuts...more money for "the base" and less money for the poor riff-raff opposition.

The GOOP has never had ideas...that's not what this built the party. Fear and intolerance did. Tax cuts fit into the need to feel superior and self righteous...offering those who were stupid to believe that by making the rich richer, they too would be dragged along.

Now what good are tax cuts when people are losing homes, jobs and savings? Many will be taking a tax cut this year, and not by choice. And then these are the same fuksticks who can't throw enough of that hated tax money at their defense contractor buddies.

The "good thing" about the past 8 years is it finally put the rest the concept of repugnicans being fiscally responsible. It will take a long time for them to bullshit their way out of their responsibility for the collapse of the economy.

Cheers...
