16. So only Freepers like all the facts?
I like to know the full picture on things, not just a subset that fits my point of view.

Here you were thinking that Fox News did so bad in the ratings they weren't even mentioned, when in fact they beat both CNN and MSNBC

Why is learning the truth something for scorn?

I am glad to see the people that are talking for me in the MSM are doing good! I am very glad to see MSNBC doing better then CNN and that was my post!

22. You mean you like to know all the opinions don't you?
Surely you aren't confusing facts with opinion based on visceral kneejerk reactionary diatribes are you? Watching FOX News isn't about getting facts. And watching them can only be a balancing act if you watch extreme Leftists like PETA. FOX News is about spin cycle disconnected from any wash cycle. Just spin. Based on extreme views. That helps you get facts?

23. Did you read what I wrote?
I wasn't saying that Fox News provides the facts. I don't even watch it.

I was simply pointing out the fact that Fox News has the most viewers of all the cable news networks.

The OP was stating they were so far down his study didn't even mention them.

Please re-read what I wrote.

Your words... The implication that you think FOX News uses facts is right there.

What was the OP implying there?

The fact that Fox News was number one, or that Fox uses facts?

becuase now I have class 4/5 days a week when they're on. I do agree that there needs to be more progressive guests on (at least to counter the GOP guests)

4. Wooo-hooo! Now if we can add Thom Hartmann to the line-up
since MSNBC is looking for a show to fill the 10 p.m. slot to compliment this line-up, we're GOOD TO GO!

CNN has become Fixed News-lite and when people can choose between the "real" thing and a watered-down version, they'll go for the real thing all the time.

Congratulations Matthews, Keith Olbermann and the incomparable Miss Rachel Maddow! :toast: :bounce:

Thanks so much for posting this 1776Forever. You're da bomb!

9. I could go for that but I am a fan of Ed Schultz too - how about both of them?
Ed fights for Unions and has a lot of listeners too!

I am listening to Ed streaming on Chicago 820AM / 92.5FM right now:

Go Ed and Thom!

21. I LOVE Ed, but he might be a little too abrasive for television especially if he's
queued to appear right after a more toned-down Rachel this late in the evening.

Ed would be perfect for a morning show since it's all pro-republican all the time during the day on MSNBC. He would be a welcome break from all that rightwing propaganda.

However, having BOTH Thom and Ed on one show would be grand indeed! :fistbump: Thom is a walking/talking encyclopedia and history book (and he can attract repubs and conservatives to appear on his show) while Ed could continue the fight for unions (something Thom strongly supports as well) and be a progressive Chris Matthews.

I'm just throwing out a couple of scenarios... :dilemma:

10. The choice between Lou Dobbs or Hardball
is an easy one to make. Mr. Independent should change his moniker to Boorish Curmudgeon.

12. Morning Joe gets ratings from spillover
To many people leave the cable boxes on after they watch Rachel, Joe gets her ratings.

17. Its Sad That There Is No High Def Offered
I watched the inaugeration on CNN and the networks because of this. I wonder how much ratings they lose because Countdown and Maddow are not offered in High Definition.

20. With one arm tied behind their back...
In Pittsburgh, and many, many other media markets, MSNBC is a Digital Tier Only station...

FoxNews, CNN, CNBC and CNN HN are all Basic Cable stations.
