The republican Mayor wept quietly in the corridor of the courthouse
Brent Warr, the republican Mayor of Gulfport Mississippi has been charged with fraud relative to Hurricane Katrina relief. Fraud for personal gain.

http://www.sunherald.com/pageone/story/1101092.html

Charges include:

Conspiracy, Fraud, False Statements, Theft of Federal Funds, Wire Fraud and Mail Fraud.

Check out that moderate republican home. I guess its made of cloth.

As any conservative from sea to shining sea would tell you, Mississippi republican politicians did a heckuva job after Katrina.

1. Lawlessness doesn't really "work" when you get that far down
the political food chain. He was just stupid to think that it might.

2. Weep, weep for yourself you soulless grasping monster.
Anyone who profited off of tragedy and misery deserves far worse than they will get. Let him rot in prison.

14. I know, but he's one of their own...
and while there is no honor among thieves, in this case the pointing of one finger and having three pointed back at them becomes all too obvious.

3. Typical Republicans.
Out for their own best interests, and they don't care who they hurt along the way. Pathetic. :(

Strange, I've never heard of a case where the Lord DOESN'T forgive them.

15. I remember Gulfport and Biloxi before the casinos...
and only went there a few times after the casinos, and never, since Katrina.

Both greed and weather have laid waste to that lovely landscape.

Glad the karma of Justice is showing up at last.

30. Hi Neighbor
Just up the highway a bit in Pearl River County. Ya never know who's gonna respond to what and when. I thinks its a significant story since Warr is the GOP's bright shining light in Mississippi where all republican politicians are hard working, competent and honest.

:sarcasm:

Do you remember the time Warr went on a trip to China to buy, of all things, logs for light poles?

That was tax dollars well spent. :sarcasm:
