John Thune
Look for him to really push to be a star in the GOP in the coming years. I think he is looking for a VP slot. He will have some serious money behind him too.

6. I have the great misfortune of having
this elitist, hypocritical, opportunistic, dumbass idiot as one of my senators. He voted for the banksters' bailout, but is against the current stimulus for us little people. He voted against the expansion of SCHIP last year, claiming that the "market" was best and that it would be "harmful to private insurers", the very private insurers that are so harmful to US, the people he's supposed to represent. Every time I open any newspaper at all, especially all of the independent weeklies, but the dailies as well, there's some stupid flag-waving column from him about what he's done that week and how great he is and isn't South Dakota so lucky to have him, yaddayaddayadda. A former co-worker's husband worked for our Dem senator, Tim Johnson, and she said that he was the worst credit-grabber, that he would often try to take credit for things he had little to do with. No surprise to me at all. And he ain't even all that bright, either.
