"He set the standards too high"
Edited on Tue Feb-03-09 10:20 PM by Stinky The Clown
This has to be the most outrageous statement of the day.

Nothing is free from being scrutinized and criticized, but this? The cabinet nomination troubles are because Obama set his standards too high?

Many yakkers were saying this today.

What would be better? "If he hasn't used a gun in the commission of a robbery he's okie doke?" Mediocrity rules?

He set his standards too high.

Wow.

2. Well, its true to a point
Daschle would look like a saint in the Bush Administration. He probably snorted half the coke Alberto and Brownie did. No one would of blinked an eye. If Obama's campaign slogan was "I suck less than Bush", Daschle would be the HHS today.

3. That's something isn't it? Less than mediocrity is what the
Repugs and the talking heads want in this country. They crave it.

I am glad the standards are so high. Daschle knew he had tax problems back in June, why didn't he pay his taxes then? This was no oversite, this was intentional and reckless.

5. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
Face it, there isn't anything he could do to gain any measure of approval from these partisans and their enablers in the MSM.

On the other hand, he's not looking for their approval. He may treat them with respect, but who among them has earned any?
