I mean really - Rush never goes anywhere to make a public speech.

He is only there because his fear of the terrible condition the GOP is in was enough to scare him into action.

He is there because he is scared.

4. Do you think so?
That seems like such a human thing for him to experience - fear. It's hard for me to imagine that.

I'm more inclined to believe that he'll go wherever he's assured of being treated like a god, a rock star, a messiah. I mean, the get-up he sported today was absolutely laughable. I thought of Christopher Walken as the Archangel Gabriel in that movie, "Prophecy." Limbaugh failed in his attempt to replicate Walken's dark power. He just looked like a big black blob. With some moving pink parts.

There will always be a Rush Limbaugh. In fact, I suspect the only thing he fears is the idea of a new, younger, more disgusting commentator shows up to challenge him.

6. The 'pigs are purging themselves out of existence.
When the likes of Pigboy, Malkin, Manatee, Beck, Annthrax, et al., determine who belongs in your party, you are in liquid shit up to your chin and sinking fast.

Six more months of this and Ah-nold and Charlie Crist will be registered independents. They are not crazy, and batshit crazy is the new Repig litmus test. If BHO is even moderately successful, 2010 and 2012 will reduce the Repigs to 25 or so Stupid Belt senators and maybe 140 or so Reps from that same geographically non-contiguous area.

7. He could care less about the GOP.
It's the possibility of losing 30 million dollars a year pushing the GOP lies that worried the 350-pound Blubber Butt into action. It's a business to him, plus he loves the attention and perks.

14. I wonder if he has performance clauses linked to Republican
successes at the voting booth? Getting paid $38MM/year (Sean, too - a combined $250MM in contracts), you know it's not to tell the truth. It's to craft lies that get the rubes to vote Republican. No wonder why they fear a fairness doctrine.

18. when your top motivational speakers, Rush, Coulter and Newt, have to rely on cheap shots
and insults for the bulk of their speeches - you are a long way off from making the great American speech.
