1. Stay off the road! People don't know how to drive in the stuff down there!
Don't mean to offend, but it's true and why should you? You seldom get the white stuff.

6. And if it gets cold be super careful using kerosine heaters inside. Fumes kill.

8. You're not offending me at all; I've lived in VA my whole life, and you're right.
One snowflake and people freak out!

2. Don't forget to remind folks that global warming and climate change are liberal myths...
...perhaps best to do that AFTER they've dug themselves out of the snow though.... ;-)

14. climate change isn't a myth, but 8 inches of snow in Richmond in March
isn't evidence of climate change and its bad science and even worse politics to suggest it is. Is eight inches of snow in early March in Richmond unusual? Yes. Historically unprecedented or proof that something is different? Not standing alone.

Extreme winter has occurred in Richmond over the years from time to time. The record low temperature in Richmond for the first week of March is around 11 degrees and it occurred back in the 1920s.

Here's some history that shows why you can't/shouldn't cite to individual storms as proof of climate change:

3. We don't get TWC (just basic cable) - any news on impact on Raleigh?
I am supposed to fly to Boston early tomorrow morning, and am wondering if I will be able to (1) get to the airport (2) even if so, will flights be delayed because (3) of the impact on Boston!

7. Snow's been falling heavily all day here in SW GEORGIA!!!
No accumulation, though, the ground is too warm.

This is extremely rare here.

13. I'm here. Right in Richmond. It sleeted a bit earlier, and now it's
raining/spitting little ice crystals. The forecast has been revised from 3 to 6 inches of snow tonight to 8 to 12 inches -- as soon as it gets a tad colder (it's 33 now) it will start snowing. Snow is supposed to continue through the day tomorrow.

Looks like a snow day for me tomorrow!! No work!! :P
