Rush Limbaugh calls on conservatives to take back nation
Edited on Sat Feb-28-09 09:10 PM by ShockediSay
Source: CNN

Rush Limbaugh brought a cheering crowd to its feet several times Saturday in Washington as he called on fellow conservatives to take back the country in the keynote speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference.

Who're they going to take it back from?
The vast majority of American People?

Whore they going to give it to?
His fundie funders?

Trouble with these funded conswervatives
is that they're talking out of their ass
and filling the air w/ crap.

You can imagine how much that is in the case of Limbaugh

They simply want the business/financial types sucking
the capital out of our economy and starving anyone's
ability to prevent them from impoverishing this nation
for their own benefit.

Enough's enough.

Face it, pimple ass, conservatism is a failure and the majority of Americans now realize it.

Winning ideas win elections.

Losing ideas put forth by losers lose elections.

We won. You lost.

Suck on it.

22. Elites Like Limbaugh won in the past
By having one thing we may lack -- pure hatred of those we oppose. They FEEL they are cheated while sucking the marrow out of Creation and we got the dregs. NO MORE Fat Man. As the most despised person by Cons labeled him, Rush "Is a Big Fat Idiot."

One last thing. There are not that many people foolish enough to not look at a Corpulent, thrice-divorced, pill-popper Misogynist to then shoulder his by proxy command and attack Liberals in a "life or death" fight.

11. I'll go there so you don't have to: I do want Rush to have a stroke on live national television.
And not the kind that mercifully kills you outright, the kind that leaves you horribly disabled for many years to come. There are innumerable stroke victims out there who are descent people and didn't deserve such a fate ... and then there are people like Rush Limbaugh. Extra juicy bonus fun irony: He'd probably end up on taxpayer-funded, government-run hospice care for the rest of his life. Mmmm, tastes like schaudenfraud.

7. This quote has me ROFL'ing
"We want every American to be the best he or she chooses to be. We recognize that we are all individuals. We love and revere our founding documents, the Constitution and the Declaration of Independent. We believe that the preamble of the Constitution contains an inarguable truth, that we are all endowed by our creator with certain inalienable rights, among them life, liberty, freedom. And the pursuit of happiness," he said, pausing several times for enthusiastic applause.

Unless you happen to be someone we don't like. Then screw ya.

...as radio stations wills soon be required to use only local broadcasting, eliminating Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, and other republicanist nazis from spewing their filth on a national basis.

Finally, we will institute a maximum tax by 2012, and hopefully will have something in place to repatriate windfall accounts back to the government for more justified redistribution. Rush will be a poor-ass pauper by the time he kicks the bucket, hopefully.

33. Uh, let's not.
As a Native Texan, do not assume we are 100% red. In fact, we feel we will be blue in just two more election cycles. Why throw away tens of millions of Dem votes just to get rid of Rush?

Here's a better solution: Send him to the Moon on the Ares IV rocket. The astronauts have already complained that the design has such a violent vibration problem that any mission to the Moon would literally shake them to death. A design flaw, mind you, ignored by another conservative, namely NASA Administrator Michael D. Griffin. Good thing he's being replaced.

I live in Virginia and this state went blue last election and the Democratic grassroots effort is working here. They can't have us back :)! As for Rush, I don't think that it was a bad thing that the viewing public saw his speech necessarily. It should be quite obvious to most of America by now that this man and his followers are die hard racists, hateful and complete nut jobs. The conservative bowel "movement" has lost a lot of steam and support. Just let them continue to put their best psychos forward and they will continue to dig their own political grave.

45. I want everything Rush says publicized.
Ideally, every American would know exactly what Rush has said on any given topic. And Coulter. And Hannity. And O'Reilly. And Ingraham. And Savage. And on and on and on throught the entire right-wing noise/hate machine.

I'm not talking about using clever editing, like those hilarious right-wing mashups that have Obama only saying "uh". We don't need to do that. Just create ads consisting entirely of direct, in-context quotes and recordings from these people. Their own words will ensure their marginalization, considering how psychotic and sociopathic those words tend to be.

27. Have Another Beer
And go to sleep. It is way past your bedtime.

A voice in the wilderness no more
But while the speech doesn't draw much applause – Paul has never shaken a habit to stampede through his text and run over applause lines – what's striking is what the audience doesn't do. It doesn't boo when Paul attacks the war in Iraq and "policing the world". It doesn't move as Paul burrows into the theory of Austrian economics. The audience is steadfast, glued to the seats.

What's changed in two years? It's not only that Republicans have lost an election – it's that Republicans do not yet understand why they lost. They are not willing to consider that they lost votes because Americans wanted more social democratic policies. The official explanation for their loss is that Republicans spent too much money and lost touch with their values. It only makes sense that Paul, who has been arguing for years that the GOP needs to get back to the values of pre-New Deal America, should be winning over young hearts and minds.

As Friday winds to a close, CFL volunteers advertise a launch party for Young American Revolution, held at a bar called Asylum. The event fliers sport a photo of Barry Goldwater and a parody of his most famous quote: "Extremism in the defence of liberty is no voice, and moderation in the pursuit of drinking is no virtue!" At the bar, Paul staffers, volunteers and young students attending CPAC throw back beers and talk about how many people have come around to their thinking.

"I haven't met anyone who doesn't like Ron Paul," says one student. "Notice how all these assholes who are giving these talks, they're saying exactly the same thing Ron Paul said last year?"

When conservatives look in a mirror, the image peering back out at them is Bush. They are in heavy denial, because they refuse to believe it was their policies that brought the unmitigated disaster of the last 8 years.

32. Good luck with that....
But I'm looking forwards for more growth instead of violent destruction that is promoted by the Republican Scream machine.

I was digging rocks out of the dirt today, fixing years worth of neglect on a Duplex we have interest in here in the Bay Area. A korean woman stopped by, and me being from Hawaii, spent some time talking story. Although I was dressed in rags, digging in the dirt, we started discussing the several duplexes that were for sale next door.

She mentioned that she was looking for properties, but that everything is still overproced, even though the dupleses had dropped in price. She also mentioned that she thought that Obama was doing the wrong thing and that he was moving towards Socialism. I said that Obama cannot do anything for us in this economy, and it is up to use to take control, do all our homework, crunch the numbers and take responsibility for our investments, especially since the fundamentals are broken, and have been for the past 8 years.

I got the feleling that she heard me and understood, but I was intrigued that the Socialism message seems to be taking root.

Personally, I think Obama is making the matters worse by inflating the economy, but the flip side is that we will get meanigful infrastructure started before the system completely collapses. Furthermore, it's a slap in the face to the Republican mantra of feeding the Military industrial complex while starving the troops.

We're screwed regardless, but I'd rather see a few hungry people fed, some roads fixed, some railroads built, and the Military left to rethink it's way of doing business.

Following the leadership of Rush Limbaugh, the Republicans lost the House of Representatives in 2006

Following the leadership of Rush Limbaugh, the Republicans lost the Executive Branch in 2008

The leadership of Rush Limbaugh is what is causing them to loose.

If they continue to follow Rush Limbaugh, the Republicans will only have 35 Senators after the 2010 election

If they continue to follow Rush Limbaugh, the Republican Party will cease to exist as a viable political entity after we hand them their heads in 2012

44. They are the fringe element, they went down in flames in November.
They don't have a plan to do anything, all they do is complain and viciously attack. They keep recycling the same old ideas that got us into this mess in the first place. This makes them irrelevant in these discussions and is why they went down in flames in November. The moderates in their party ran for the exits.

I listened to Limbaugh's very poorly delivered speech for a few minutes but shut it off when the audience was laughing about John Kerry's military service. These idiots laugh at a decorated war veteran on national TV and then think they should be taken seriously? What a joke.
