The Bush Recession
My talking point of the day. Whenever Democrats talk about the recession, they should refer to it as the Bush Recession.

Guarantee, if Democrats don't start referring to it as the Bush recession, the Republicans, first change they get--a few months from now if there is no discernible recovery--will try and start calling it the Obama Recession.

But this is the Bush Recession for as long as it lasts. And no one should be allowed to forget it. "The Bush Recession, the Bush Recession, the Bush Recession."

5. Shouldn't that be the Second Bush Recession?
Or third? (1991-1992, 2001-2003, 2007-2009)

6. Exactly
And I still think it was on purpose to ensure that there was very little money left for social programmes.

8. YES! Bush Recession. Bush Recession.

Just repeat the mantra. It may seem like a conservative ploy, but we have sound principals to back up what we say.

10. I have been spit balling other names for it too... The Bill From Bush, The Conservative Crash
Reagan's Revenge, The Deregulation Decline.....

I am sure there are better ones. I see why you like the simple straightforward Bush Recession. I agree, there is no reason to simply call it "The Recession". Bush's name should always be linked to it one way or another.
