He deserved an ass beating. I'm guessing if the guy had been someone really powerful or someone capable and inclined to beat his ass, his reaction would have been different.

Bale said a few days later on a radio show that the guy was twice his size (former football player) and that he (Bale) would have gotten his ass kicked if he tried to start a fight.

Anyway, Bale said they get along fine and that they went right back to work that day after his tirade. He apparently snapped after the DP had been fidgeting with lights several times throughout the day while filming was going on. The DP definitely made a mistake and if it was a repeated one after Bale warned him not to, then you can't help but consider it unprofessional. Bale's rant was the height of hypocrisy of course. He was pointing out the other guy's unprofessional manner while he behaved like in a completely unprofessional manner by ranting at him.
