So regarding Twitter, have you been following Doonesbury this week?

I did a hatchet job thread on Twitter a few days back and got cursed, shredded and doomed to hell. And there were also some praises.

But either way, you've got to follow Gary Trudeau this week. He's usually more tuned into the good, the bad, the ugly, and the total laughability of humanity than most of us.

And yes, his target this time around is Twitter which he skewered in Monday's strip with a tweet that even the biggest imbecile in the world wouldn't have tapped in: "About to scratch myself. Stand by."

Then again, I haven't read all the tweets on Twitter.

Twitter is nothing more nor less than what you make of it. It can be informative, it can be watercooler-style conversation, or it can be completely inane.

Kind of like DU, only limited to 140 characters.

4. Yeah, but,

The very concept of Twitter is sooo incredibly stupid.

And yes, there is a use for everything. There's no doubt that there really is a place and use for Twitter.

But most people really don't care whether or not you just had a tuna salad sandwich, or if you're getting ready to scratch your ass.
