As you may know, I was the only Senator to vote against the USA Patriot Act in October 2001, and I have repeatedly questioned the Administration's resistance to legitimate congressional oversight of its implementation of the law. But he's been pretty much an ass since the campaign--very supportive of McCain at Obama's expense. He's jealous of Obama and always looks for the spotlight for himself, which is why McCain uses him for a convenient stooge--McCain ALSO is always looking for the spotlight.

I'm not sure what issue you have with Senator Feingold's behavior that you say was pronounced since the campaign, but Obama seems to be able to respect Senator Feingold.

who are working in Washington. Now McCain, is not a man who is easy to listen to or work with, so I give the Great Senator from Wisconsin extra points for keeping diplomatic behavior going. This is how grown ups act. I know that the last eight years have seemed otherwise, but I believe this is how great men/women with discipline and the art and skill to negotiate behave.
