Grandparents Say Elmo Toy Spouts Inappropriate Message

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Is a popular children's toy spouting out a grown-up message? The company that manufactures the toy says no, but two central Ohio grandparents think otherwise.

Jerry and Judy Hunt said they purchased a Fisher Price Elmo phone for their 10-month-old granddaughter, but while testing out the toy, the Hunts said they heard an inappropriate message, 10TV's Cara Connelly reported.

According to the Hunts, they pushed a button on the phone and heard a voice ask, "Who wants to have sex?"

The phone and the alleged message have been discussed widely on the Internet.

The Hunts said they contacted Fisher Price and asked for answers.

"I finally called corporate and again I got an apology (and they said) send the toy back," Judy Hunt said.

...a news station runs this story without any evidence? Grandparents have Thousands of photos and film and video of their grandchildren but not the time to record this toy?

I call BS on this.

10. The video that goes with the article has it - it sounds pretty funny,

but I wouldn't have heard the 'sex' bit without prompting.

The "four" in the recording is pronounced in a kiddy voice - sort of breathy and without hard consonants...
