Rush Can't Survive
Rush is not going to come out of this in the same shape he had going in. For a guy with no real constituency, he's making too many enemies. No doubt Republican insiders are already brainstorming various scenarios to bring him into disgrace without leaving their fingerprints.

The dittoheads aren't a real constituency, they're nobody. They send money and supply horses for a GOTV drive, but they are blocking the fundamental redefinition that Republicans need to survive. Rush hopes to be the victim of the Democrats, but he won't be that lucky. He's going to get it from people who are close to him. On his way into the studio somebody will stop him and show him feelthy pictures ... of himself. Oh what a rent the envious Casca made!

It'll take two years, tops. Look for Republicans and Democrats to work together as strange bedfellows on the Rush takedown. He'll squawk, but it'll be like something from the Godfather. Nothing personal, Rush.

1. You are optimistic.
The GOP is insane. They may want to go down with the ship.

6. Too Much At Stake
These guys would sell out their own mothers before they'll let the Republican Party collapse - there's too much at stake for them. Whoever ruins Rush Limbaugh will make it look like somebody else did it. It will take two years to get everything lined up just so. When it hits, everybody's going to say "Who knew?"

If I were a bookie I'd take action on it.

2. It's called cleaning house.
All those right wing extremists need to be taken on head first. It's the only way to take back our country from their tactics of division, incitements to violence and hate, and their influence on our government.

It's about fucking time!

5. Rush has long been under attack by liberals, but a de-powered GOP has . . .
left him vulnerable, IMO --

I think some of the coporates see the need to temper some of the wilder comments

by Rush --- especially now. Maybe I'm wrong?

Rush peaked when the GOP peaked --- they're down and so is he now.

10. Rush's Big Problem
Rush's big problem is that he's old and tired. He doesn't have it anymore. His speech to the Conservatives was rambling, incoherent and stale. He's already on his way out, but the decision is what to do with the dittoheads. That's why his Republican enemies have to show some savoir faire in how they do it. But ... trust them. Republicans get plenty nasty when you get between them and political power. They need it to survive.

16. Maybe it's drugs . . . ????
I think he's drunk too many $2,000 bottles of wine and eaten too many animals!

I also think he knows the murderous flock he is speaking for --- doesn't this

spiritual/kharma thing get them all in the end?

I don't know how old he is but he sure looks like hell --

As if someone has been beating him up? He was highly praised when GOP won --

they stuck with him thru his drug scandal -- and how they got away with that still

mystifies me!

14. Bush Didn't Survive
Bush has disappeared completely. After his court martial, they handed him a Luger and told him to do the right thing. After 15 minutes behind a closed door, a shot rang out. We'll never hear from him again.

Bush was an asshole.

13. Maybe Not
If it were Mafia guys, they wouldn't mind getting ugly. But we're talking about the wealthy Republican elite, the ones who have lots to lose if they don't get back their Justice Department. That's why they've got to make it look like somebody else did it. Or make it look like Rush was undone by his own you-name-it, - lust, greed, obesity, personal history, etc.

Think the CIA is clever? Wait till the Republican dirty tricksters do a number on Rush Limbaugh. He won't know what hit him.

then that's that. Problem solved.
