We need a high speed train from Washington to Leavenworth
And one from Dallas to Leavenworth too.

I'd settle for a train from my house to Hooterville...and I'd be more apt to take a ride on that Hooterville Express, than any of the Bush gang ever will ride a train to the federal slammer.

Truth Commission in Washington is an OxyMoran...

1. I want them on a slow train
going through every community on the way so that people can come out and see them off in proper fashion.

2. I want to ride on the train that goes to the Bunny Ranch.
I hope one day in the future all trains go to the bunny ranch.

3. Since the GOP has tried to turn America back into a nation
of hobos we might all end up hopping that bunny train.

The GOP wants every stop in America to be a Hooverville again.

6. Well watch out for the mocking birds
They're pretty mean an smart as all get outs too.
A couple years ago I was setting out back and all of sudden I start hearing the mocking birds raising hell so I look and they had ganged up on a 2 ft long or so grass snake of some kind. One would dive down toward the snake and the snake would strike out at that one, another bird would then hit the snake in the head as it was falling back to the ground. My dog and I set there and watched the whole thing. One bird would dive the snake would strike another bird would hit the snake in the back of the head as it was falling back to the ground and on and on until the snake at some point rolled over on its back dead, grave yard dead.

8. I saw a red tailed hawk catch a snake and carry it off one day.
I have three pairs of mocking birds here that stay around all the time. I've seen them dive bomb the cats in the spring when the birds have little ones in their nests. I've had them dive bomb me when I mow too close to their kiddies. They have taken over my grape arbors as nesting areas. They run starlings and grackles off the feeders all the time. I love to hear them sing. Sometimes even at 3:00 AM.

I was out burning some brush the other day and a mocking bird came and sat in a tree near me and sang to me for about a half hour. He sounded like just about evey kind of song-bird around here. I think he even sang a couple of bars of the Aflac Duck's song.(he's been watching too much TV I'm guessing)

I've been feeding these gold finches for about six years and evey spring when they have little ones they all stay right in this area. I started out feeding a dozen and now I'm feeding a hundred. Their feeders are in a flowering crabapple tree that is covered with bright pink flowers at Easter time right when the male finches turn yellow. My grand-kids call that their Easter tree.

Comin' down that railroad track
It's the Turd Blossom Special
Bringin' some neocon hacks

Hey talk about a-ramblin'
She's the fastest train on the line
Talk about a-travellin'

It's that Turd Blossom Special
Rollin' down the seaboard line

up and ready to roll along with his secret GESTAPO II type privatized readjustment/resettlement/labor camps that he and Deputy Fuhrer Cheney had cooked up. The "Truth Commissioners" will probably find another memo or three over at the BushCo injustice department about the Final Solution to their "democrat" problem, if they really look.

We tried to tell the world, from here at DU, that "DECIDER"(unitary executive)really was a nice white washy way of BushCo and the MSM saying, that Little George was declaring himself Dictator. Looks like, in retrospect, that we "tinfoilers" around here had the dots connected pretty well right down the line.

11. Why do you hate I-70/I-64 and I-35/I-29?
Actually, many trains do run through Leavenworth. I think I have even seen a passenger train once. Those are north-south trains, possibly coming from Dallas. There is also a passenger train running between Kansas City and St. Louis, but that's still a ways from DC, and a ways from Leavenworth.

Have you considered jet travel? I think that would be faster than a high-speed train, and Leavenworth is only 25 minutes from Kansas City International airport. It also has the advantage of keeping people employed in Wichita. Those who aren't working as linemen, that is.

14. Hell, I helped build part of I 64...
I don't blame you for fretting about hauling toxic waste like Karl Rove or W through you state by way of our crumbling railway system.

The GOPers never want to fix things like railroads, bridges and roads, but then they want to haul nuclear waste from one end of the country to the other and dump it down a hole where it can poison the water table for 300,000 years. The only bridge the GOP can see sinking any money into is a "Bridge To Nowhere"...The entire GOP is a bridge to nowhere, IMHO.

22. And I thank you for that!
I-64 goes right through my hometown in the Alleghany mountains of Va. What a beautiful highway, and it sure beats those 2 lane country roads we used to have to travel. Every other bend in the road was a "dead man's curve".

Re: the railroads. Our little town was a huge rail center for C&O (CSX), WAS being the operative word. We still have freight trains, esp. coal cars moving from WVa mines down to the coast, but not much more.

Funny about that nuclear waste. John McCain won't allow it to be shipped through Az. Imagine that!

20. We need to form a GOP Stink Tank for sh!tbags such as...
Edited on Fri Mar-06-09 07:44 AM by Hubert Flottz
Karl, Dick, W, Gonzo and all those other America/Obama hating bastids with that (R) after their names...

The GOP has reached Critical Mess and is melting down as I type...they had plenty of chances to do the right things but greed pushed them to do everything WRONG instead...Greed has pushed people to do the wrong things since civilization began and since civilization began the greed driven wrongdoers have wound up paying for their crimes...why should the neocons get a free pass?

Toxic waste belongs in a secure containment that it can't escape from and do more harm the rest of the world.

We let the Nixon Gang and the Reagan Gang slide on their criminal deeds and they came back in the Bush administration and wrecked the country again. When you don't punish criminals for their crimes, it emboldens them and they go on to commit even worse and more violent crimes...the bush gang is a prime example of that very idea proving itself out in spades.

26. The hell of it is, that Bush still has his drones and goons...
who are planted in government agencies carrying on the evil shit the neocons had set up. Bush booby trapped the government so it would still be screwn even after he's long gone from Washington. There is very little in this country that Bushco hasn't tampered with, pushed the envelope on and fUkt up.
