This latest police tape of her calling 911 after one of the kids was missing ...... tell me that's not a manipulative crazy person.

The woman is just plain nuts.

3. The thing that gets me...

a couple of my friends could not get pregnant to have a child of their own, so they tried adoption. These folks are great people...stable relationship, great home (with a killer garden), good and stable jobs, etc. They gave up the adoption process after it became apparent how much it would cost them financially and emotionally (with the interviews, home visits, etc).

But, in this story, we have some crazy woman who clearly cannot take care of her first brood of kids, let alone a second. But, with no more effort than seeing a fertility clinic, she's allowed to bring in 8 more children and has since made a buffoonery of the whole situation. Her kids are fucked.

I worked with a guy whose wife couldn't get pregnant.

They tried the shots and medication route for a while but it didn't work.

They were just the nicest couple, and really deserved to be able to have a child.

Well, before they started trying for a family they spent a lot of money building their dream home.

What broke my heart...

when it was apparent that they would probably never have a biological child, they decided that they would try to adopt. You know what they were willing to do to have a child? If it took having to give up their dream home to have a child....any child...they were willing to do it.

I haven't seen them in 14 years. I really and truly hope they were able to adopt as many children as they could afford.

That's a really bad sign. To not be able to respond to the 911 operator's questions, keep repeating she's going to kill herself in front of a kid, to be THAT ineffective on a 911 call....this is a very sick woman. On the plus side, that 911 operator was awesome -- to be able to ascertain the information she did out of the babble she heard on the other end of the phone was first class work. The woman & how her psychopathologies have played out fascinates me....unfortunately, there are 14 kids who are paying for her psychopathology.

If I ever lost my child, I'd be utterly distraught and, of course, heirless. By way of contrast, Octomom has backups and plenty of room for attrition.

17. According to my wife, much of the outrage is because she's

a single mom, and she compared her to the Duggars. I told her that, while the Duggars are clearly crazy, Octomom is much crazier.

Angels in Waiting (http://www.angelsinwaitingusa.org/) offered a free home for 6 months and free round the clock care for the ALL of the kids, including individualized care by pediatric nurses & other early intervention professionals. ALL of the kids....she turned it down!! She reportedly turned it down because Angels in Waiting refused to include in the deal making the whole thing a reality TV show. Please just take those babies away now and put them with parents who are capable of bringing up children.

The gist of the tape, unfortunately, is of little value without hearing the inflection and tone.
