ABC is not calling our President by his title
Have you noticed that they are calling him OBAMA and Mr. Obama instead of "President Obama?"

My friend called them and gave them a piece of her mind this morning and I'm set to call them too.

This is no mistake,it's happening too often.

They would never call GW Mr. Bush! :puke:

1. Relax. Both terms are fine.

It's customary to refer to the the president as "President X" at the beginning of a story, then use the appellation "Mr." or just the last name for the rest of the story.

It was done with Bush, too.

2. It's not just abc. I hear people on msnbc refer to him as something other
than President Obama. Ed Schultz calls him Barack Obama. I sent him an email asking him to please use his correct title. Thom Hartmann sometimes slips, too, but usually catches himself.

5. You might want to pick up a copy of the AP Style Manual.
This has been accepted practice going back almost a century. There are many things that deserve our outrage; this isn't one of them.

GW was so funny when Bush pretended to look under the chair for the WMD.
That's when I realized where Mr. Charlie was coming from.

6. yes Dimson was referred to as "Mr. Bush" plenty of times.
it's outside the norm, generally a news story will start out with "President ___________" and then referred to as "Mr. ________" during the rest of the story.

16. They should refer to him as "President Obama" out of respect for the office if nothing else.
I had no problem calling Reagan, Poppy, or Nixon "President" regardless of what I thought of their policies.

However, I never referred to Chimpy as "President", because the bastard was never elected.

Pukes (including media Pukes) can't say that about Obama.

17. I like your thought process
Bush was not the President.

He was "selected" by Diebold.

In my mind there was President Gore and President Kerry.
