Po-leeese, someone splain me this....
Why are the crooks who destroyed this country still free. Madoff, Bank CEO's, Stanford, congressmen (Delay etc), Cramer and the whole CNBC ratpack, etc. No one has yet to go down. NO-ONE. Not one single fucking person. How can this be happening. Where the fuck are the police, CIA, FBI, fucking somebody has to be responsible for getting these bastards off the streets and into jail. Who??????????? This shit is getting old. I want fucking action and I want it now, God dammit!

6. Looks like thats all we are left with
Too many skeletons in the closets for both parties I'm guessin, also lots of media skeletons as well. Got to be an awful big closet. Term limits are only answer to our problems, period.

5. I don't get it either.
The wheels of justice run slowly. I'm hoping for something to happen in the near future to get these guys and to send a message that this just won't be allowed to happen again. I know that a lot of people want less government, but these greedy people won't regulate themselves, so the government has to protect the majority of the American people by putting strict regulations on people like them.

7. The Golden Rule.
I'll always remember my first engineering design class. Taught by a really cool guy by the name of Joe Mello. He who has the gold, rules.

And I'll add, even if they stole it.

However, things catch up with people. See Al Capone.

8. When you figure out
that the two parties are really one party, this all makes a lot of sense. The One Party represents the moneyed elite, not you. In any given election, both candidates are members of the One Party.

10. When I read the piece in Mother Jones this mo.re: Harry Reid, his origins and who owns HIS sorry ass
I realized I should have been investigating the Dems as hard as I was the neocons. I've been scratching my head for 8 yrs saying "Why aren't these people stepping up and doing something?" I thought they must be corrupt as well but I'm learning more now and it's sickening. That salary they're drawing seems to be a fairly persuasive tool. We have to become a nation of letter writers and demonstrators. We HAVE to make our voices heard. Obama is doing a good job but the dems in congress are screwing us royal.

12. I worry too. Didn't mean to sound banal about that but I actually don't completely agree
"No support for Investigations or Prosecutions of Bush criminals"

I see opening of once "classified" records and making way for the "legal decisions" that were the backbone, so to speak, (lol) of the criminal policies of the Bush admin to be challenged. Once they are proven unconstitutional then the bastards can be taken down.

I feel I am seeing a very smart, very pragmatic man take this mess and deal with it in the proper order. He knows where the power is and just because their good old boys aren't sitting in the Oval Office doesn't mean they've lost their power. They can still control the message and there are too many idiots out there who buy it.

The labs that concocted the fascist poison and the foundations that were built to hold the house of cards must be demolished before it can be brought down. I hear pieces of it every day.

"No accountability for 1st Wall Street Bail Out"
I can only say there seems to be an effort to stress accountability now in his administration...perhaps unprecedented. With all there is to be done and with the mentality of the people he has to deal with, if he can just keep his OWN promises, he will be doing well.

"Immunity for the Telecoms"
I can only assume, that it is reasonable to assume, the fault and blame lie in the folks who gave the directives. perhaps he is big enough to see that. end the spying and prosecute the ones who demanded that they spy in the name of national security. Hell, the Patriot Act (.) may have some clause in it that said they had to comply. Apparently the thing was so huge no one even bothered to READ it!

"Reassertion of Executive Privilege to cover Bush criminals..."

Plain and simple, I think it's a show. And A DAMN good one. They won't be able to blame him for taking them down. We do NOT need the public demonizing this administration. When the legal support for their crimes is reversed, we won't need a president to put them in jail...hopefully, it will be deemed too obvious to require some sort of executive pressure.

Now. These are the reasons I'm not going to cut my own throat tonight. But I'm worried. I'm worried it might not happen. But I do think it is a very well considered plan. he's as mad as I am...he's just much more well behaved!

:P

13. Making bad investments is not a crime. Running a business poorly is not a crime.

Passing bad policies is not a crime.

On the other hand, fraud is a crime, and I do hope Mr. Madoff ends up in jail as a result.

14. Two words. Ruling class.
Call them elites. Call them uber-capitalists. Call them the spawn of monarchy. Call them leaders. Call them owners. Call them the 2%ers.

Notice the gate keepers. Notice the enablers. Notice the props for the status quo.

Distill it down to what has happened in history; recent and ancient; and they are the Ruling Class.

15. But Martha Stewart had to be dealt with harshly for her financial misdeeds.
Madoff still has his multimillion dollar penthouse while some of his elderly victims are sacking groceries to get by.

Its such bullshit.
