Imagine. You are in your living room. Suddenly a man breaks down your door, and stands you between him and the gangster that is trying to kill him.

CITY OF NEWBURGH — City police say they’re working hard to find the masked gunman who killed a man on Lander Street, but no arrests have been made.
Lamont Young, 25, of Newburgh, died early Wednesday after he was shot in the head. According to a witness, Young burst into 47 Lander St. just after midnight with the gunman following a step behind. Young tried to use the occupant as a human shield but the older man wrestled free. The gunman stepped forward and fired as Young lay on the floor. To report any information, call Detective Sgt. Tim Toomey at 569-7535 or 569-7509.
