Cops searching for killer in Newburgh shooting

CITY OF NEWBURGH — City police say they’re working hard to find the masked gunman who killed a man on Lander Street, but no arrests have been made.
Lamont Young, 25, of Newburgh, died early Wednesday after he was shot in the head. According to a witness, Young burst into 47 Lander St. just after midnight with the gunman following a step behind. Young tried to use the occupant as a human shield but the older man wrestled free. The gunman stepped forward and fired as Young lay on the floor. To report any information, call Detective Sgt.
