Young guy in F-150 pickup gave me the finger today.
He had a NoBama bumper sticker on his rear window. He had just passed my 1991 Volvo station wagon, which sports an Veteran for Obama sticker above a Franken sticker, above a Wellstone! sticker that dates back many years. I guess he found some umbrage to take from that.

He was looking in the mirror to see my reaction, so I waved at him and smiled. That didn't appeal, apparently, since he stomped the accelerator and almost hit the car in front of him.

I guess I'm going to have to get a "Ha-ha! We Won" sticker for my Volvo, eh?

The dude parks it in my office parking lot so that everyone who drives by sees it.

most of the republican stickers I see are on smaller vehicles, I do see them on large vehicles too. My hubbies F-150 sports no stickers, but he voted for Obama. My Xterra has an Obama sticker on it. :hi: Just stickin' up for those of us that drive them out of necessity. We buy used and not new.:hi:

27. veg oil
restaurant grease

Vegetable oil can power a diesel engine without any need for modifications on the design of the engine. The main problem of this fuel is that it freezes above the freezing point of water which means that certain chemicals needs to added to it to keep it from freezing and blocking fuel lines.

our cars long after theirs have gone to scrap.

My 'new' Volvo is 21yrs. old- with 287,000+ mi. Got it free from a really nice guy that was going to junk it 3 yrs. ago.

Edited on Fri Mar-06-09 02:02 PM by old mark
I am still wearing the vote Obama 08 button I got from MoveOn.org on the old green hunting vest I usually wear in spring and fall. It has loops for shotgun shells on it, and between that tnd the Obama pin, people get very confused. I want something with a more clear message, maybe not GOP's SUCK!, but close enough to wear to the mall.
I need to save my Obama pins to wear to the gun shop.

36. Last fall:
While driving home from work, I was behind a Mercedes that sported a bumper sticker that read: "Hitler gave great speeches, too." Let me repeat: It was on a Mercedes. A car made in Germany. Right beside the Mercedes logo. I think the irony was lost on the driver, but it made me laugh.

People advertise their dignity and class in many ways, I suppose.

He advertised his by giving you the finger, while you advertised your own class with a cheerful wave and a smile. :)

(Nut honestly-- that someone gets so upset as to be so rude and vulgar simply because of a bumper sticker that illustrates a different political philosophy really seems to be an illustration of a craven and ineffectual person. Good on you for taking the high road!!)

What in the world was flipping off someone because of their bumper stickers and political views going to do in the grand scheme of things?! If he has that short of a fuse, he probably has a violent temper, he sounded like someone in need of some serious help.
