OMFG - Out of the water! (photo warning for some)

The alligator will not be charged with hunting deer out of season, animal cruelty, or any one of several possible water quality violations. He may, however, be charged with being one mean gator. If we could catch him... Or wanted to...

“One advantage of fire work is you get to see that 12-14 footers are common from Santee National Wildlife Refuge in South Carolina to Coastal South Carolina to Georgia’s coast,” said Jenkins. “It looks like the alligator population is doing extremely well.”

This one was at least 12-13 feet long. Jenkins said that some bull alligators have a 35 inch girth.

I know they are big and strong, but shit! They are also very fast for short distances.

11. I used to go out and watch them back home.
especially at night...

Safely..from my car. :)

Listened in one night on a gator capture. The gator-pond was managed to keep the the bigger gators out by removing them once they reached a certain length. The crew that night was in a small truck and using a rope. The area ranger made a beeline to the waters once news of this came over the radio. He wanted to see the "fools" trying to catch a 15 foot gator in a Toyota truck and a rope. Needless to say but hijinks ensued. We could hear everything happening - the shouts and screams...the cursing...as well as the ranger's laughter.

No one got hurt...just barely. The gator remained. The rope was destroyed. 2 tire trucks died for the cause and the limb of a small tree became driftwood.

Since you have telekinetic powers, would you do me a favor? You could make my day wonderful by cleaning up my house before I get home tonight. It might sort of balance out the ruining someone's whole day thing.

16. That will teach you to click on a link that says "photo warning".
Carniverous animals eat other animals. Don't click on links with photo warnings unless you are prepared to see something. If you do click, you have taken responsibility for looking and may ruin your own day.

28. Nature taking its course makes you ill? That's beyond pathetic.
I suppose you want to pass a law making it illegal for alligators to kill poor, defenseless little Bambis.......

And next, you can pass laws keeping Black Phoebes from killing and eating poor defenseless flying insects.

There's a lot of "violence" in this ol' world. Better get used to it.

5. Oh, great..............
(True story)

I just woke up - about half an hour ago - from a luxurious afternoon nap (getting over a bug), from a dream that I was in a boat in a big swimming pool and an alligator had gotten into the pool. It wasn't bothering me, but it did go after the small whale in the pool, and when I saw it eyeing the giraffe, I took an oar and started hitting its snout. I got scared when its eyes met mine, but I kept hitting and then I saw that a big helicopter overhead had sent down a large scoop to lift out the whale. I figured it would get to the alligator soon enough.

Then I woke up.

Now I come here and see this.

I need new drugs........................

in New Port Richie who were recent transplants from the north were warned not to let their toy poodles out without being on a leash.

There was a two-acre retaining pond directly behind the property that was full of gators.

They should have listened.
