idiot instructor let go, young boy offered private lessons so he could go hunting with his grandfather.

Too bad the boy had to learn this lesson but at least the lesson turned out well.

reported it, and the wildlife official who handled it so well were also Oklahomans (and presumably not all Obama supporters). It's never a surprise that there are nutjobs and assholes in the world (this could easily have happened here in CA), it's sometimes less obvious that there are civil and mature people on the 'other side'. I actually find this story reassuring...
