Discouraging news from Don Siegelman

The three judge panel of the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals has just ruled. While they threw out two counts of my politically-motivated prosecution and conviction, they upheld several others and have sent the case back to the district court for re-sentencing.

I am disappointed, but not discouraged. The fight will continue.

My family and I are deeply appreciative of the outpouring of support and prayers. Your words and actions keep our spirits lifted and our resolve strong. We will get through this, and we will win.

1. Don't know if the Justice Department can enter into this, but my hope is that they will...

especially since this whole thing was politically based in the first place. This would be a travesty of justice otherwise. Based on what we know the Bush Administration will more than likely get away with, this would suck big time.
