What happened with Air America Radio and Thom Hartmann?
Edited on Sat Mar-07-09 09:20 AM by patrice
My laptop has been in the shop being cleaned, so I'm out of synch with whatever is going on with Thom Hartmann.

Of course, I'll just subscribe to whatever he's offering from TH.com, but I was just wondering what happened with AAR.

1. He's still on AAR's website.
Maybe they worked out a deal?

2. I was just there and there's some video piece that is sitting in front of the
drop down menu for the shows when you click on it, so I couldn't see all of the shows. I 'll try again.

4. structurally, their web site is a mess
you will find that if you go to an interior page you can get past the home page issue. I have seen that as well. Also, if you switch from IE to Firefox (or the reverse) you can resolve the issue. They didn't test the site for cross-browser compatiblity.

9. That guy spends hours talking about octomom and other pop culture junk.
But, he's better than Lionel.

Yeah it really looks like the network with Stefanie Miller, Ed Schultz and Bill Press is the only one that's gonna survive.

I just hope Maron and Seder get good jobs.

10. Yeah, Reagan is no Hartmann, but I think he serves a good purpose quite effectively.

11. I find his topics to be very boring - just "blah" talk radio crap you hear any
where else. Right after Thomm Hartman is over I turn the radio off.

He does seem like a very nice person but for some reason or other he's afraid to go "left."

8. What happened to Air America? Since I cancelled
Edited on Sat Mar-07-09 09:57 AM by doc03
my XM I am stuck with nothing but right wingers. A few months ago there was an Air America or liberal station in Columbus Ohio, I was there last week and the station is now sports. How can a city the size of Columbus support at least two Spanish channels and a 24 hour weather channel on radio but there is no market for a liberal radio station. I see a good many Mexican people in Columbus but there has to a hundred times more Democrats and there is nothing but right wing stations. This week I was in Cleveland a city that is overwhelmingly Democrat and no liberal channel? I found a station in Cleveland that was Russian I think how in the hell can there be enough Russians in Cleveland to support a radio station and no liberal channels and probably 10-20 right wing stations? Now the right wingers are starting to take over the FM band, Pittsburgh has a FM talk station with a nut named Quinn on it this guy is crazier than Hannity, Limbaugh and Wiener combined.
