God Sees the Freepers
I wrote this on June 9th, 2001.

http://www.apj.us/20010609GodFreepers.html

Nothing's really changed over there. It just got more boring, stupid and electorally irrelevant.

P.S. The Secret Service guys assigned to investigate Freeper "threats" against President Obama are almost certainly laughing their asses off. They know as well as I do that Freepers are, by and large, so full of shit they squeak going into a turn. Big talkers, and the living essence of "no follow-through." Safe to assume the Treasury Department knows what cowardly bluster is when they herar it. Laughing their asses off.

Best to ignore FR, really. Mushrooms eat shit and live in the dark, too, but you won't find me wasting time on their web forum.

Just sayin'.

;)

2. Well, I'm really glad that you don't write posts about
Freepers, then. I'd hate to waste my time clicking on one. :bounce:

6. wow!
Hard to believe that was written away back when gwb was still trying to find his way around the WH, having snuck in the back door in the dead of night.

Well-written, btw, and worth having resurrected.

It amuses me to hear clowns like o'reilly rant about how "the extreme left" is so full of hate and the "conservatives" are so fair and balanced. Much like limbaugh ranting that President Obama is promoting a "proven failed strategy" to address the ecomony, against the backdrop of the GD having been sparked directly by the supposedly "correct" strategy he espouses, and this mess having come from an attempt to replay that one.

Some day the Red Queen will order "off with their heads"; Alice will give them a shove and they'll go tumbling like dominoes. "Why, you're all just a pack of cards!"

7. All the same, it only takes one lone nut. . .who isn't into just talking.
God help the Freepers, if God forbid, that happens.

8. Even though most freepers can be written off as Cheeto-devouring Baby Hueys
some among their ranks may be so mentally imbalanced as to actually act out their murderous fantasies. Has it really been that long ago that we've already forgotten former freeper 'marc costanzo' - Chad Castagana of Woodland Hills, CA - who mailed fake anthrax to Jon Stewart, David Letterman, Keith Olbermann, Speaker Nancy Pelosi, and Senator Charles Schumer?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chad_Castagana
http://www.reuters.com/article/entertainmentNews/idUSN1240171820061114

Even though Castagana fit the description of a Cheeto-devouring Baby Huey who still lived with his parents at age 39 (when arrested), I'm sure that each recipient of those powders purportedly containing anthrax felt terrorized.

The point I'm trying to make is that even though FreakRepublic is a nest of loons who aren't likely to possess the courage, energy, inclination or wherewithal to follow through with their threats of violence, there's an outside chance that someday the threat may be real. We like to kid about how the cheese has slid off their collective cracker at FreakRepublic, but who among us can state with 100% confidence that each little episode of Insanity Theater is merely idle musing?

Secret Service & FBI, I hope you never grow complacent in your surveillance of that pestilent sinkhole.

9. Let's put it this way
We know someone in law enforcement. Actually, we know several "someones" in law enforcement.

One of those parties told us eight years ago that there was more than a little interest in what was happening in FR.

laughing at any of the threats he's received. Be they from Freepers, Frackers, PUMAs or whoever.

And I don't think we should be laughing either.
